Hi guys, so the past weeks I've been reading up, and spend way to many hours researching what Korean monitor to get. And after getting more confused and unsure about the whole thing - I have boiled the whole thing down to 2 simple questions.

What panel / model is the safest bet?
(Yamakasi, Achieva, Crossover, Qnix, X-Star ect.)

What seller is the safest?
(greensum, accessorieswhole, storewithstory ect.)

I just want to know your general experience and knowledge.

Thanks guys. :)

IPS LED Monitors has a 14 day return policy and some of the Amazon sellers might have their returns full filled by Amazon=hassle free. Accesorieswhole has been known to actually honor the 1 year warranty and send replacement PCB's and power supplies free of charge to a few people.

The Qnix & few Crossover models are the best. Achieva models often lack proper brightness controls and have really poor black levels once the brightness is turned down, not sure about the new Yamakasis but I would avoid them just in case since the Qnix & Crossover are really good. Usually only the multi-input models lack proper brightness controls.

The Qnix/X-Star can overclock to 96hz at least typically. Multi-input models can not overclock without dropping frames. The Glossy Qnix's sold on ebay actually have glass placed overtop of the matte coatings which causes internal reflections as well as external.

The 2720/30 are glossy and have better black levels than the AMG models but are more reflective. Make sure to read this section to see how the different coatings compare:

The matte Qnix/X-Star's coatings are essentially the same as the the BenQ BL2710PT's.

Thanks OP for the for starting this and thanks for the thorough response, I've been looking to jump into one of these and keep talking myself out of dropping the cash.

You're gambling and basically if you dig enough all the sellers are shady in one way or another. I'm currently in the process of shipping mine back, as Green Sum is shipping tempered glass instead of "Glossy" which are out of production.

You also should be cautious about the batches as well, there's some good and some bad, apparently Dream Sellers after holiday batch is decent, which I will get around to ordering here soon enough.

throwing this one into the pot too, the company is in CA, so if anything goes wrong, they are around. The panel itself also comes with a nicer stand and the brezel is much much nicer.

I just got mine recently, it's good, some backlight bleeding, but will see if i can fix that. No dead or stuck pixels (that i was able to find.)

I ended up paying more for a Dell ultrasharp after returning 3 different Korean brand monitors from reputable sellers.

I'm glad I did. I've been more than happy with my monitor.
