Ryzen Mobile - Any idea when?

Ryzen Mobile - Any idea when? I assume it's in AMD's plans but don't know for sure.

I'm thinking it could be a great fit for a new laptop later in the year...

APUs are scheduled "late 2017", and called Raven Ridge. I guess hypothetically non-APUs could be in a laptop too, but that seems less likely.

I am not sure you will find a modern laptop without an integrated GPU. if you are just confused by the name APU is what AMD calls their CPU with an integrated gpu.

I thought there were laptops with discrete cards, no? Do these have APUs with the iGPU disabled?

Most of them use the igpu when not using 3d hardware acceleration for the power savings and then switch over to the discrete gpu when needed for rendering.
