I just have a quick question. New ryzen 3600 build with a just ordered B450 mobo.

Which memory is better overall. DDR4 3200 cl14 sam b-die or 3600 cl16 sam b-die? I found a cl16 3600 like $5 more than the 3200.

Also, how important is it for the modules to be on the mobo support list? I am looking at two different ones now and neither are on the supported list.

Thanks.

Either one is fine -- you should be able to overclock the 3200-14 to 3600-16

Don't worry about the supported list.

They are all good choices. The Flare-X 3200C14 and the Team 3200C14 should have no issues doing 3600C16. So it's just a matter of whether you want to do the work to get them to 3600C16 or just buy the Ripjaws and be at 3600C16 right off the bat after enabling XMP/DOCP. One is guaranteed the other are not.

With ~1.45-1.5v they should do close to 3600c14\3800c15
Both my 3200c14 Ripjaws V and 3200c14 Flare X do.

Thanks for input. My top two choices right now are the guaranteed 3600C16 Gskills that are b-die. It is only $5 difference from the 3200 kits so whats the point of going with 3200. My only concern is 2 of the kits I was considering are both not on the MSI B450 tomahawk max support list.. Not sure how much it matters since its Sam b-die chips.

I was considering this Gskill kit for the low low price, but it is not on the QVL and sure these are not samsung b-die chips either so I would be worried about issues. Still 3600 cl16 though. Loving the price too. Good choice? Bad choice? I suppose I can always just buy it and if its not stable can return them.

Hynix CJR probably on the 3600 16-19-19 kit which is good value although a mate got a kit that was apparently M die.

If you are willing to tweak you will get a few % more out of the b die otherwise you wont notice the difference.

So let me ask you this question, any particular DDR4 3600 kit better than another? Excluding the sam b-die options? The one I linked to work or are there any others I should go with? Does it matter? I see newegg has other kits even offered by Gskill for even less. I guess the cheaper you go the looser the timings is whats going on.
