Official price drop from AMD on the Ryzen 7 1800X. Was $499.99, now $469.99, a $30 price drop.

Speculation is now open as to why they did this. I am going with some others with: AMD said they were (IIRC) prepping 1800X and maybe 1700X with the Wraith Max cooler, so this price drop would make sense. Put out the boxed w/Wraith Max and price it at the $499.99'ish range. Give people a choice, big beefy bad ass cooler or save some $$$ and roll your own.
 
Good move, though it does make you wonder. I think the cooler theory could be true, or AMD realized the cheaper R7 chips can OC to the 1800X level and people are all buying those.
