Here is how how it goes. People see $200 and $229 and they see anothe card at 299. Even if the review says oh its good performance for the money but it uses alot of power. At that point people forget about power trust me. Money is always first!
It depends on that nVidia has with the 1060. I'm certain that it will be priced competitively with the 480 depending on where it lands on performance. If it's a little faster it be a little more expensive. If it's a little slower it will be a little cheaper. And power bills cost money as well. Power efficient products have a big edge. If the power efficiency comparisons between the 480 and the 1070/1080 scales down to the 1060 the 480 is headed for a flop.
