Rumor: Nvidia allegedly halting RTX 3000 production this October to keep prices as high as possible until 1H22

It makes no sense. Graphics cards are selling faster than nude photos of your mom.

Everyone keeps insisting that Nvidia is a graphics card company and that their processors are for GPUs, when neither's really the case.

They're not stopping or slowing manufacturing, they're just reallocating their production to different markets.

Is it November 2020 yet? Still waiting for the flood of cards MLID predicted.

Our naive past:

Prediction like this:
Come November, you'll be able to get a $899 3080 with 20GB of memory, but all people will think about is the $699 and Day 1 reviews.

God do you whish it would have been true, not just the price point but being possible to buy ?

Or any notion that anything about low stock seen was intentional-artificial...........

Sadly will never know how ambitious the price creep strategy was, because regardless of any the price would have explosed via pure offer-demand anyway and got to be way above anything planned (it is not some $30-$40 higher than usual cooling solution that make the $400 uptick in price)
