Unlikely imo.so rtx 5090 delayed?
Just forget about the 30-series cards then . Unfortunately folks are still paying brand new prices for used AND broken 4090s. It is insane as someone who buys broken cards and fixes them when I want extra money to spend on stupid things1200 is my limit, the day a 80 series exceeds that, its over for me, I focus on my other hobbies instead. I am hoping the 5080 is that ball park and if not, its a used 4090 for me in the 900 range?
Soooo yes?Unlikely imo.
Jen Hsun Huang understands the importance of a halo card for bragging rights
However you can't rule out shenanigans such as '4080' 12 gb
You will get one top card this year. Could be a '5080 ti' class card & not a 5090 or 5090 ti. They will be reserved for refreshes, I thinkSoooo yes?
so when 5090?You will get one top card this year. Could be a '5080 ti' class card & not a 5090 or 5090 ti. They will be reserved for refreshes, I think

Can't say exactly when before December next year
December 2025 for 5090? How did you know this
What I understand as of now is till Jan 2026, AMD will not have a card more powerful than 7900xtx on shelvesHow did you know this
we already told you that no one knows in your other threads. it will probably come some time next year.Oki if thats true of course. I will buy 4090. Cant wait for +-december 2025 for 5090 : )
You can always wait till dec this year for prices to settleOki if thats true of course. I will buy 4090. Cant wait for +-december 2025 for 5090 : )

he had one, sold it. hes been doing this run around most of this year. half think hes been trollinwhat resolution do you play at?...do you even need a 5090?...or do you just want one because it'll most likely be the fastest GPU?...why not just get a 4090?...it's not like that's going to be obsolete anytime soon...or get a 4080 Super
For my current configuration , a 4080S is more than enough but I desire a OLED version of the Samsung 57 incher, preferably from LG and thus, I would want significantly more head room. I sold my 4080S due to hand surgery and subsequently, I wont need a powerful card until around October. It is my hope that we will know more about the 50 series by then.what resolution do you play at?...do you even need a 5090?...or do you just want one because it'll most likely be the fastest GPU?...why not just get a 4090?...it's not like that's going to be obsolete anytime soon...or get a 4080 Super

1440Pwhat resolution do you play at?...4K, 1440p, 1080p?
1440P
thx i will think about ityou really don't need a 5090...a 5080 will be more than enough...I'm also at 1440p and even the 4080 Super is an excellent GPU for that resolution...I'm looking at a 5080 mainly because I need to have ray tracing and all the graphics settings maxed out and I prefer to play at native versus using DLSS
How about this:

SKU#2 16gb (~>4070 super) — $500
SKU#3 12gb (>4070 gddr6) — $400
SKU#4 8gb (~4060 ti 8gb) — $300

50 percent inflation? What country are you in? US inflation since 2019 is 25 %, 499 for the top productI was thinking back to RDNA 1 launch 5 years ago. If we apply 50% cumulative inflation (8.5% annual inflation), then:
- 5700xt::8700xt = $400::$600 (4070 ti super)
- 5700::8700 = $350::$525 (4070 super)
- 5600xt::8600xt = $280::$420 (4070 gddr6)
- 5500xt::8500xt = $200::$300 (4060 ti 8gb)
Good point. We will know the GPU inflation when RDNA 4 launches50 percent inflation? What country are you in? US inflation since 2019 is 25 %, 499 for the top product
Names can change last minute. Ignore namesI’m seeing two new rumors that are conflicting. One rumor is the top tier Radeon will be the 8700 xt, then I saw a rumor saying that the new 8800 xt will be under $600 usd and have the performance of the 4080.
8800 xt rumor
https://www.tweaktown.com/news/1000...080-performance-for-half-the-price/index.html
8700 xt rumor

Obviously both of these cannot be true. Thoughts?
4080 Super is a beast. : )unless the 5080 is considerably faster than my current 4080 Super I'm fine with my current GPU (1440p)

It's been known for some time AMD isn't going to compete with NV this generation.Is amd going to compete at the top end? Or just give it to nvidia again?
