My current asus n66 (shibby tomato) cannot keep up with 1gb. It's wan to LAN is poor. Any recommendations?

R7000 or ac68 or? I don't want to break a bank ;-)

N66 was good enough for my wifi needs. I want stable wired connection that can keep up with 1gb internet (~800mb) speeds.

Thanks in advance :p

I end up with Asus AC1900P faster version of AC68 running dual core at 1.4Ghz. I'm very happy with it :)

The R7000 cannot handle 1gb internet. I have two and had to dump them. Did your speed test with the AC1900P push your 1gb connection?

Nice. I might have to grab one of those. Weird they dont give you 1gb up. Below is what I get using the router from AT&T. Very happy with the speeds, just would like more control with an aftermarket firewall.

The R7000 can absolutely keep up with Gigabit WAN connections. On AT&T Gigapower I hit 940/940 easily. The only thing faster was my home built firewall running 8GB of ram and an overclocked G3258.
