I know that a hub cannot do a routers job but can a router do a hubs job? I was going to buy one of those small wireless netgear routers (silver) with and black antenna and a WAN and 4 LAN ports ya know? I want to share my broadband between two computers but if i had some friends come over can they connect their computers to one of the LAN ports to be on the network? Is it that easy?

Also, for the computer receiving the signal, is there a PCI card that you can buy which you can install? Wouldn't this cause interference in the audio/video cards? Because i saw a PCI card thingy with a huge antenna on the back of the computer.

Yes it will work and be easy, just leave it on DHCP.

There are WIFI cards that you can buy that run internally on the PCI bus. They seem to work with no interference to the rest of the system.
