ROG Swift PG348Q Curved Display Unveiled

Pushing G-sink for FPS games... LOL. This thing probably won't even have ULMB, which is what actually matters. Also, 21:9 is just too wide. 16:9 is too, but not to the point of 21:9. 16:10 for just games, 4:3 for just PC use, 3:2 for both.

Top Down RPG look nicer on wide monitors then First Person Shooters...you might see the enemy better a big monitor but being aware of where you are in the game might take longer on a bigger screen where split seconds matter.....I would get this monitor just for Top Down Action or RPG games =)

Nice try ASUS. I said BIGGER. Go north of 40" and give me 4K resolution at 100Hz with G-Sync and I'll take one.

Nail on the head.

And yet I bet people are still going to buy it.

Gsync is much better than ULMB, ULMB is like have PWM at 100-120hz + 20% lower contrast, yes it lowers the blur, but it also gives me a headache and has very obvious flickering, which is worse, especially as you cannot use Gsync at the same time, I pick Gsync every time.

This thing looks horrendous from all sides. Its design screams that it was made for people who build pc's in cases like this one http://wordpress.carthrottle.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/do3z1.jpg, or this http://static.bootic.com/_pictures/1597937/acer-aspire-predator-g7710.jpg, with bright blue LED's as well.:D

I definitely wouldn't want to have it on my pretty glass table.

It doesn't look tacky from the front, all the tacky stuff is on the back which you won't see and I'm sure you can turn off the red light thing. It looks like a nice monitor.

Would be nice. But such a monitor is likely at least 2 years away due to the DP 1.3 requirement

We all want 4k with 100+Hz but let's face it until DP 1.3 comes out it's not gonna happen as I don't see manufacturers doing some dual DP 1.2 setup to achieve it.

To be perfectly honest and more realistic, I'd go for one if it was 40", 4k@60Hz with G-Sync.

I second that - EVERY TIME
