Also, it appears that you will be able to put the original Rock Band disc in and be able to play all those songs as well.

Nice list! thanks for the news. been waiting for some new songs and I'm glad to see a total of 84. Over 20 more songs than RB1!

Somewhat On Topic: I just read that Rock Band 2 will allow you to rip most of the tracklist from RB1 onto the hard drive and play them in RB2. Thats some crazy shit...

I'm looking forward to Rock Band 2. I like the changes they're making to the bands, such as no 'leader', being able to switch instruments on set and so on. It's very nice to see that the DLC and most of the games on the Rock Band 1 disc will be playable as well.

I'm definitely selling my Rock Band 1 so I can partially fund RB2. I hate the wired controllers, and of course the shit quality of the guitar.

In any case, I'm still torn about RB2 vs GHWT. Both are obviously very nice setups, it's hard to imagine going wrong with either package if you're a PS3 or 360 owner. If you're a Wii owner GHWT is the only choice, since Harmonix went lazy with their half baked port job, but who knows, maybe they'll actually try to do RB2 for Wii while they're, I dunno, *awake* maybe? :)

if you pay a fee, which is bullshit imo.

They've said it will be "under 5 dollars", but it's still bullshit.

If you don't want to pay the 800 MS points or whatever it'll end up being, then disc swap.

Its probably the only way that makes sense to fund the licensing and prevent you from renting and porting it.

I'm wondering what songs are not going to be able to be ported into Rock Band 2 from Rock Band 1. The announcement said MOST songs would be imported. Does this mean that Metallica and Aerosmith won't be imported from the RB1 disc? I'm hoping for more clarification, although it does not matter. I will be buying this game.

Nobody else has mentioned it, but I think the thing I'm most excited about is a new G 'n R track. That's one step closer to getting the "Duke Nukem Forever" of rock records, Chinese Democracy.
I wonder if this is a good sign or if it'll be like that song from the End of Days Soundtrack.
