Hey guys,

I have rj45 connectors in my LAN closet that connect to the phone line on one end and connect to wall jacks that phones plug into on the other end. The wall jacks are the type that fit rj11 and rj45 connectors. I am getting DSL and I need something to convert the rj45 connector to an rj11 connector. Have you heard of such a thing? I know I could take off the rj45 connector and put on a rj11, but I would like to use something that I can disconnect and reconnect whenever I want.

Thanks for the help, Adam

RJ11 plugs should fit into RJ45 sockets, no problem. The only difference is the number of pins (8 for RJ45, 4 for RJ11). The important bit is to make sure things are wired properly.

Just put an RJ45 coupler on the cable and then plug the phone cable in the other end.
