I bit the bullet and purchased 2 x GTX 512’s. Instead of babbling I’ll let the pics talk.

Very satisfied how it came out. But honestly from my experience so far, there is no need for current GTX SLI owners to upgrade. The difference is minimal.

And how do you keep it at 37* C while ocing to 600mhz? Is the stock cooling just really good or did you modify something?

VERY NICE rig by the way. I am impressed.
 
The temp in the pic was measured in 2D with no OC. :) Talking about OC, I went straight to 600/1800 with no sweat. I'll try to push it later but I'm thinkig 620~630 will be very possible.
 
Is it just me or does the reflection of windows in the penguin poster seem a little ironic, lol.

Thanks. I had a problem with burning NF4 chipset in my setup (upside-down mobo with heatpipe), so I figured my own way to cool it as you can see in the pic. It works great for the chipset and it also cools the video card memory!
 
some people have way too much money, and even then I would not be able to justify spending that much money for more fps in games.

Being someone who is in an office 8 hours a day my view is

overseas trip>sli

any day of the week. :cool:

But now here is the question... How much did they cost you? And have you fully paid them off? :D

I meant the difference between GTX SLI and GTX 512 SLI. 3DMark05 and actual gaming experience as well (only exception for me has been Age of Empires 3 so far - quite the difference)

I will get a 2nd card next year some time, by which time there will hopefully be some new games to make it worthwhile.

holy sweet ba-jesus..... and here I thought my rig was pretty expensive and then I see $1500+ worth of video cards in one pic. :eek:

man, I need to start selling crack again because thats the only way I'm going to be able to afford $1500 worth of video cards.

Nice made me jelous and I have a nice system a amd x2 3800 oc'ed 2.6ghz and 7800gt drools
 
What Toledo do you have? 4400+ or 4800+ ???

What Ram... can you CPU-Z that. I am going to be oc ing my Toledo 4400+ and noticed you may be similar set-up.

I was lucky to grab them for $699 each @tigerdirect while they were available.

My RAM is OCZ Titanium. It does 250MHz @2.5-3-2-5 but I have a problem playing Age of Empires 3 with that setting. (Everything else seems fine) Right now I have it at [email protected].
 
Well, now make sure you get the best Antivirus software, there is a very slim chance you will get laid in the next 2 years.
