Requiring username and password on Wireless network

I wanted to set up my home wi-fi network to require a custom username+password. I tried in the past, but couldn't make it work. Does anyone know any guide? I have a 24/7 server that could run whatever is needed for this.

You need to set up a RADIUS server. Plenty of tutorials out there and shouldn't be too difficult if your router is flashable with DD-WRT.
