The left mouse switch in my 2-year-old Imperator was failing, so I ordered a pair of identical OMRON D2FC-F-7N to replace it. I was instead sent a pair of D2F-J01F which is touted on eBay as a "D2FC-F-7N upgrade". I don't know why I expected to actually get what I ordered when I ordered from Amazon Marketplace, but thinking I'd received nicer switches that otherwise pretty much look the same, I soldered both in my Razer. Everything went fine, they fit and click interchangeably (new switches are a little more sensitive, but otherwise), except the switches simply don't register clicks. It's like the D2F-J01F is an SPST while I needed an SPDT or something. I don't know for sure as I can't find the specs.
Has anyone "upgraded" a mouse from D2FC-F-7N to D2F-J01F before? Are they NOT interchangeable? I read that some of the "Xai" mice, within the same model, will come with one or the other. This SUGGESTS they're interchangeably wired, but alas, mine don't work.
