Anybody remember the old 77 Bonneville heatercores that used to be the craze before watercooling became mainstream?

....Any ideas on how much heat they can dissipate?

I have one or two laying around and thinking of playing with them for a quick and dirty OCing run...just need to grab pump to use with a AM2 MC-TDX...

a lot, depending on how big they are. i forget the exact dimensions and how many loops are in those specific heatercores, but its probably 2000-5000watts of heat dissipation with adequate airflow.

2 38mm thick panaflow/nmb/nidec 2200 rpm fans with a controller and IMO they cannot be beat for heat dissipation even by a triple. But they do love air, the more the better so noise can be an issue. They do not work well with fans under 1200 rpm.

Hmm the link is pretty spot on with my experience, I still run one on my bot machine.

Awesome info guys, when I get everything together Ill post my results back here.

Thanks, much appreciated.
