Looks like more AMD misdirections listed in that article.

Add these new ones to the existing recent misdirections pile:

AMD Revolution!!! - JOIN THE AMD RTG REVOLUTION in 2021 (this article's timeline for the next competitive AMD GPU)

AMD Crossfire!!! - We will continue to support Crossfire where our competitor is no longer supporting MGPU (stated when RX580 was able to best Nvidia's best single card with Crossfire, and silently scuttle butted at Vega launch a few months later -- when Vega didn't even support Crossfire at launch)

AMD Vega Hash Rates!!! - You may see hash rates of 70MH/s or more - our partners are doing amazing things with Vega! (said by Raja and RTG before Vega launch when the card actually barely breaks 40MH/s, nine months after launch)

Oh look it's a WCCFtech shotgun guessing game all based on rumors then any actual fact, who knows one of those rumors might even stick.

Say what you will, but they've been right at times, and this has the tone of being more closely sourced.

Plausible but dispiriting, if true. I guess the only saving grace is that in 2021 there will still be an AMD to be pissed off at for not having a high-end GPU answer to Nvidia (and Intel?)

Intel's high end GPU is to be released in 2020 according to another headline. haha...maybe Intel and AMD will flip flop by that point.

AMD runs the CPU table with ThreadRipper 3, meanwhile Intel has dedicated all resources to GPU. :)

Interesting but I'll take it with a grain of salt

Nonsense. I don't think some of you comprehend just how much of a David and Goliath situation AMD vs. Intel truly is. I think 2020 for a competitive GPU out of Intel may be a bit unlikely. However, Intel has far deeper pockets than AMD. AMD was a failing company that had to make hard choices in order to survive. Intel can develop GPU's and CPU's simultaneously. Also, by the time Threadripper 3 comes out, Intel may very well offer something far more competitive than it does today.

Yeah that is what I have been thinking of. Depending on how well Intel GPUs do, it could be the end of AMD/ATI GPUs. CPU wise Intel can possibly pull another Core 2 Duo 3-5 years down the line. If that happens AMD can be in serious trouble. On the bright side, Intel with more resources vs Nvidia should be competitive on the GPU front.

Relying on Intel to roll over and play dead for a number of years is just not realistic. Beside their product the grasp that they have on OEM is also scary.
When they did not have anyone with a vision their gpu division was just that now that they hired so many people pumped so much money on it have a person in charge that will make it work the idea that some people have that Koduri will fail for some reason is also wishful thinking.
