So whats the latest info on isps, we had the extreme RIAA case era which pushed everyone away from sharing files. I think spoofing on consumers connections should be illegal but who cares about what we think. Anyway, this is not a question of piracy since I buy my cds(albeit used) and my college provides all the software free. I know you can use anonymous usenet, and various azereus plug-ins but which isp is more "libre"??

ISP's have a vested interest in protecting their customers, and it is in their best interest not to bend to idle legal threats.

Anonymitiy online is pretty difficult to accomplish 100%, but rest assured that most ISP's don't record your traffic, rather they keep track of your assigned resources (address, mail accounts, etc). As far as I know, and having worked for an ISP I have some background here, your ISP doesn't care what you do so long as it doesn't have the law asking them questions, or that it's not affecting the network adversely.
