Here is the original deal that I saw from Dealnews: (snipped)

Refurbished Dell W3201C 32" HD-Ready LCD TV for $1,199

Dell Outlet offers the factory-refurbished Dell W3201C 32" HD-Ready LCD Television for $1,599. Add coupon code "S5RV90?D8FN7B8" to your cart to drop it to $1,199.25. The W3201C features a native resolution of 1366x768, 16:9 aspect ratio, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 450 cd/m2 brightness, two detachable speakers, and HDMI, VGA, component, S-Video, and RCA video inputs. A one-year Dell warranty applies. Coupon expires April 12 or after 150 redemptions.

When I went to the link I found the price was listed as $1,049 already after a $300 instant discount. When I used the code it replaced the $300 with 25% off, taking the total for the unit to $1,011.75. Shipping was $95 - $50 = $45. Tax was added so my total came to $1,132.84. Right now they are going for $1,499 (normally $1,699) + shipping/tax so this is a fairly good discount.

You think this would this make a good monitor? Better than say the Dell 24" LCD?

For watching movies from your system, yes. For general computer work I would stick with your 2405 as the resolution is much better.

Dell LCD Spec Break-Out
I haven't posted this for awhile, but it is pretty useful in picking a Dell LCD.

Did they change the inputs on the 2001fp?

My older 2001FP has S-Video and Composite as well as D-Sub and DVI-D.

It served me well. So sad that it's now just sitting in the shadow of my 37" Westy @ 1920x1080. : )

That's what I have listed:
Code:
20.1"	2001FP	...	D-Sub VGA / DVI-D / S-Video / Composite Video
