Reddit To Crack Down On Abuse

the _donald sub reddit has been given a huge amount of freedom. They took that freedom and have abused it to the point that now they are being curtailed. They regularly promote and call for up votes to topics to have the on /all which is a direct violation of the rules. They also like to go out and raid other sub reddits. the_donald is basically the 4chan of reddit. I don't even think its about politics for them anymore. the trolls have taken over so completly its more about abuse and trolling than discussion about the topic of their subreddit anymore. The cries of they are curtailing their free speech is ignoring the massive amount of BS that spews from that pit on a regular basis. If they just stayed in their playpen and circle jerked to their cheeto overlord no one would care. The fact they have spilled out like the contents of some man babies diaper is what is causing the "infringement of their right to free speech".

There is no resurgence of white supremacy. The people telling you that are the same ones that got their articles reviewed by the DNC before publication.

How often have you read what is posted on that sub? The answer is you haven't. Because if you had you would know that absolutely none of that is true.

I know for a fact there are isolated instances of people being idiots out there and of course people love to report (and retweet/post/like) every single outrageous thing they see.

In case you are, I'd say that the likes of CNN/Politico/Huffpo/NYT/etc manipulating and fabricating news, to get a candidate elected or push a narrative, is a one way ticket to an authoritarian state. State controlled media/propaganda isn't what the press is supposed to be ;)

They're supposed to question those in power and keep them in check. Now sure how it turned into a vacuum chamber. Stop watching CNN...

For the actual record, it was the FBI that said the Russians hacked the DNC and were hacking just about everything they could get their hands on, they just wanted the administration to keep the information private because it might be too political. Plus if you ever stick your nose into the real world for a visit, the "Russians"do exactly that (Though I have a very hard time believing all this activity is some huge Russian hacking agency, it's just people hacking systems that are being administrated by idiots). The DNC made it as political as possible and tried some nutty six degrees bullshit to accuse the Trump camp of being in Russian control. They also focussed on the source of the hack more than the material hacked because it made their whole process look as sleazy as, well as sleazy as it actually was. Journalists all over the world had a ball with what was in those documents. Those documents put a lot of Bernie's supporters right out of the DNC camp completely.

What's going to be more interesting is when these ultra-right lunatics realise that Trump isn't what they want, that the Republicans aren't what they want and that there isn't likely to ever be a government that is what they want.

All you people complaining about how bad reddit is probably only used the default sub-reddits like r/gamin or r/funny, which are full of crybaby SJW's and nazi mods. You need to find the smaller subreddits that are uncensored. Take when Fallout 4 came out for example. There was a r/fallout subreddit was getting heavily moderated because people were posting links to videos of people playing leaked early copies, so someone makes r/fo4 and keeps it free and open and most people migrated to it. Now yeah when the site owners banned r/fatpeoplehate that was kind of lame because they were just censoring people for being mean.

Redddit to crack down huh, LoL please do not make me ROFL. Redddit and it's CEO lost all credibility when said CEO directly edited a users post via the database. Said action made the user the bad guy and Redddit smelling like a rose until the real truth came out. Sorry but lets call a spade a spade and lay the cards on the table. Reddit/CEO lost all credibility and integrity by doing said edit. I do not care if the CEO came out and told what he did, fact of the matter is he did it trying to shame a user who had a different political opinion. Only one way to get all it back and it's for the CEO to resign or be fired. But I guess we will not be seeing that. Well forget it you are lost and have zero respect for this country. If you are a outsider then that's on you but if you are a American citizen then you are not one in my book. Sorry but burning the American flag in protest is a big douchbag move. If that's what you support and others like you does the same then do us all a favor and GTFO of this country and move somewhere else.

One more thing to that poster who said it was fine to burn the American flag in protest as free speech, just remember one thing, that flag covers the coffins of fallen military who returns home from making the ultimate sacrifice for this country. When you support such a thing then you are spitting on said military who came home in a coffin and spitting on that flag.

Sorry for my rant but if you don't respect your own countries flag then it's time for you to GTFO and I 100 percent support the yanking of your citizenship if you do such a thing in protest. That is not free speech.

Just because you choose to interpret something in a particular way doesn't many everybody or even anybody interprets it the same way. People being disenfranchised or persecuted by this country have every reason to show their problems with the country. Just because they are burning *a* flag doesn't mean they are burning *your* flag or any flags over any dead service members or veterans. You'd have more of an outraged leg to stand on perhaps if you served for free and not for money and other benefits just like every other job. Granted your job was likely more dangerous than most.
 
I can't wait till 2024. We will be a thoroughly divided country. You're either for the republicans or democrats. No in between. Openly hostile to one another. As much as I hate it, it will be a good idea that I and my family own and learn how to use firearms.

I love posts that now callously calls for citizens of the US to leave the country if you're on the other side of the poster's ideals. This is where we are now and will only get worse.

Just say yes to everything the administration want to do. The consequence of bringing jobs back to the US will be yuge and we will all get to pay for it. Literally.

Agreed. There will be few Republicans and Democrats left by the mid-20s. The parties are over and are going to be consumed in order to shit out new parties, based on actual ideologies other than big-government statism. I love it.

But it IS free speech as our Supreme Court already decided.

Burning flags is what America is about. What I mean by that is America is about being able to do such things without fear of the government. It is fine to disagree and be against it. It's even fine for you to dislike and say negative things about people who do it. It is not OK to imprison or revoke citizenship (which isn't even a thing). Anyone who ever supported such a thing is a fool (Trump most recently and Hilary as well).

Burning a flag simply destroys a symbol. Taking away the ability to do so damages Americans' freedom which is what the symbol actually represents.
