Recovery volume shadow copy from another computer?

Pretty much does anyone know how to extract volume shadow copydata from a dead computer? I have a client that was using mozy for their backup of a server that crashed and mozy can't find the clients files after a raid crash. I was able to recover the raid enough to make an image file of the data partition. Like 5 or 6 files that I need were not recoverable. I would like to attempt to pull an older copy out of the volume shadow copy folders. Anyone have some instructions on how?

I know you can't recover with just shadow copy alone as it only includes change bits. I'm hoping that is enough though to go back to an earlier version of the file with the damaged version I have.
