Im looking for a solid PCI wireless adapter. I want to try building some directional WiFi antennas but I dont have a pci card to work with. I know of the offerings from linksys and dlink but I wasn't sure if there was something in particular I should look for.

I got the Linksys G PCI card. It works okay. I dont really have anything to compare it to. If you have Win XP it was a little tough to get it to work at first.

I have had really good luck with the US Robotics gear. I have been running it for about 6 months and have not had any connection problems. The model number is #USR5416.

I got Linksys' latest PCI one for like $40 on Newegg (rebate), I forget the model #... Their 8011.2g SpeedBooster (double the normal 8011.2g speed if used with the SB router and other SB cards). Works fine, install was straightforward on WinXP (SP2). Good signal strenght thru a concrete wall and two bookshelves.
