Hi guys,
I'm looking at buying a DLP projector and replacing the bulb with an LED, and I want to figure out how feasible this is. I already have the LED (rated 6500lm at 100W), and I'm waiting on a lens to better focus it (right now it basically shines equally in every direction). Once I have that, I'll try to focus it down to a screen-sized area and measure how much light it puts out. My roommate has a projector that I can compare this to.

So my question is this: what meter should I get? It should handle different spectra of light (metal halide versus LED) so it doesn't wildly over- or under-report one bulb versus another, high lumen handling would be a plus, and I would be willing to spend $200 if there's an improvement over a $50 one.

So far my top two choices are the Meterman LM631 and the CEM DT-1309. The Meterman is recommended by the guys at CandlePower Forums, and the CEM has a USB interface so I could automate testing somewhat.
