Recommendations for Microsoft product licensing (several hundred VMs)

Greetings!

For an environment consisting of several hundred VMs, how do you recommend acquiring licensing for Microsoft Office (not the 365 subscription please), Windows, Windows Server, RDS CALs, and Exchange CALs?

What is the most cost effective route? :? I want to put together cost analysis and do research to try and understand this area more, and get ideas of how much things like this cost and the benefits and disadvantages.

Have a look at enterprise and datacenter license, its still expensive for office etc but it will knock your os license costs way down due to the cost per host rather than install.

Work with your VAR. We turned to Dell to help us navigate Microsoft Licensing hell.

for your vm's, data center licensing will almost always come out cheaper unless your server density is low.

Office is expensive no matter how you try to do it.
