So my old Rosewill adapter died today and now I'm looking for something just as good, if not better. I'd like to find something with good range (5hgz) because my hotspot is a bit far away from my desktop computer. USB is preferable, as well as something that will easily fit in a USB slot around other devices that are plugged in. USB 2.0 only. Thanks in advance for any recs.

USB 2.0 is gonna severely limit the speed. Why not a cheap Internal PCI-e x1 card?

Get a cheap TP Link router that'll support Tomato or DDWRT and put it in bridge mode. Wifi adapters suck. All of them.
