Random Brand, odd form factor, cheap NVME 1TB

Looks like the longer format (22110) is to accommodate capacitors (the yellow pieces in the middle of the board obscured by the label) for power-loss protection. Usually that's an enterprise-grade feature, but Lite-On isn't really known for operating in that space.

You may be on to something.

They make "M.2 M-Key NVME AHCI SSD to PCI-E 3.0 16x 4X Adapter for 110mm 80mm SSD" adapters if there is a length issue.

"Enterprise" drives have high idle power (2.4W in this case), but otherwise should work nicely. Assuming it's new and not a used drive in disguise...

I really think I'd rather take a PM953 or something for a few $ more on eBay...

Cheapest I saw was $88 which is a 25.7% increase in price. I'd probably buy the Samsung though even at a slightly higher price.

Liteon, have not seen that brand in like 15-20 years lol.. cd/dvdroms etc if I remember right from back in the day
Came here to post this, first time I've seen a Liteon branded product since I built a full PC tower back in college. Don't think I've used a DVD drive since then.

Performs similar to my Samsung 950 Pro 512gb but runs way cooler.

Seems to have much better read speeds than advertised. Perhaps I will use the one I ordered to replace the 3.2TB Fusion IO drive I have sitting in the second PCIe 16x slot.

I just purchased two of these drives. They are going to be used for game storage, I think.

I checked and all five of the Ryzen compatible motherboards in the house have at least 1 M.2 slot capable of handling a 110mm drive (2x Tomahawk B350, an ASUS B350-Plus, an ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F and an ASUS Prime X570-P). I'm in the process of transitioning from the Tomahawk B350 to the Prime X570 board, so if at some point I upgrade to a PCIE 4.0 drive I can move one of these to a different rig in the house. The other one will go into my wife's rig as the secondary M.2 drive on her B450-F.

At $70 these are a steal IMO. Even the cheapo 1TB 2.5" SSDs with no DRAM have barely ever touched that price point, and they are way slower.

Well, this is a downgrade in benches from the $117 Eluktronics Eluktro Pro-X G2 500GB PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe I've had since 2018 but perfect for a secondary game drive. Can't complain. Have two off-brand NVME now, both with DRAM, for next to no cost:

Ugg how many sub drives does that 3.2 already show up as in the OS.

I have a liteon SSD 120GB 2.5 inch in one of my PCs.

I would buy Liteon again. I remember using them for DVD drives

guys roguecast has the Crucial or Corsair P1 or the P2 idk really know my SSDs but they have it for $79 I do believe. i'm too lazy to go look and see what it actually is but not lazy enough to not pass along the seeds of a good deal

here it is: https://roguecast.com/product/22c9a215-1a8f-4fe9-9a0e-d8f99f854af3
Nice, amazon had the pny 3k nvme 1 TB for like $64 for prime visa holders last week, basically 109 minus 35% off coupon minus 20% cb to your prime card.
