rampage II gene vs p6t

hello I'm helping a friend build an i7 system, he very much likes mine but does not want to pay for the full rampage II so we are trying to decide between the gene or one of the p6t variants. He wants to overclock and at most run 2x sli but nothing crazy, he has a antec 900 so the size does not matter. Its been a while since I built mine so i'm a little behind on the lattest and greatest 1366 boards and I've also noticed that evga has released a bunch of new boards but I've never used one personally so I don't want to recommend one to him. Anyway I just wanted to know what sub 300 board you guys would recommend :D
 
oh and also if we go with the p6t which variant would be best, I heard that you can make the se run in sli even though its not advertised to do so.. is this true
