I got the 510 points but only 1 ticket, hows that working?

i thought for each 255 point increase you got 1 ticket in that bracket?

As a rule I'd be the last one to quote rules, but as I recall it was stated at the start that all "rounding" would be rounding in the downward fashion. However even with one ticket it's still better then trying to hit the Power Ball or Mega Millions:)

Actually the forumla for number of entries was set to rounddown....... when you carry out the sig. digits for your score, it's 509.64ish..... so in the calc for the entries, it rounded that down to 509....... whereas, in the number of tickets, I forgot the round function, or the rounddown function, and so when I limited the formatting to no decimal places, Excel did it's own rounding.... which is why it displays as 510....

my comment on the 1950 stands either way, getting that close to a ticket marker should be worth something :D

And the correct answer is: You needed to average 559 PPD for the contest to recieve two tickets. 509.64 makes you 49.36 PPD short of getting two tickets. You needed to increase by 255 for each ticket. You started at 49 so 304 PPD would get you one ticket and 559 PPD would get you two.
