My system is getting a little old (built in 2012) and I'm looking at upgrades. The system specs are: Intel Core i5 3570K Asus P8Z77-V LK Motherboard G.Skill Ripjaws Series F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL 2 x 4GB DDR3 1600 RAM eVGA 02G-P4-2670-KR GeForce GTX 670 2GB PCI-E Video Card I'm looking to upgrade my GTX 670 to a 1060 6GB or RX 580, but I was thinking about adding a little more memory (from 8GB to 16GB) at the same time. Would it be best to add another 2x4 kit or replace the current kit with a 2x8? Are the potential compatibility issues? And is this even a good idea? I'd like to stretch this rig out for another couple years if possible, so I thought adding a little more RAM might help with gaming (PUBG generally). I'd appreciate any advice, and specific examples would be extremely useful.
