Hi all,

I have a V1 Norco 4020 4U NAS case. This isn't the one that's currently on Norco's site as that is V2. It's this one:

There was a post I found here where these were recommended but my OCD doesn't like that. I'd prefer actual rails for it and was wondering what I should do.

Do the norco RL-26 or RL-20 rails work sufficient enough?

It's been over 5 years since that was asked and many things have changed since then.

Do I have better options if I were to upgrade my case to the updated 4020, or a newer model such as the 4220 or the 4224 or would I still be in the same boat?

EDIT: I just looked at the side holes for the 3 new cases (4224, 4220, and new 4020) and they are all identical.

EDIT2: I just compared my side holes to the new hole format and they seem to be radically different.

could you give a pic behind the handle of your case? it should have a small notch in it, if so 99% of the rail kits from norco will work so long as they meet weight requirements.

that is the only holes that matter for the rail kits from what I have seen, been using norco for a while now and the rails seem to be great quality ( bought them from newegg) they come with all the hardware needed and adjustable depth for racks

RL-26

I have the old style case and the RL-26 worked fine in my rack.

I do not have the notch xx0m3gaxx. It's the first gen.
I ended up getting the RL-20 rails as that's what another guy I saw had on that same exact case. I'll see how it works and report back tonight.

RL-20 rails fit perfectly. I think I just answered my own question. Now to see how it works on the rack (The rack system is in pieces right now for a new paint job and cleaning).
