I am building a budget gaming rig for Mx Simulator. I already Have all components besides an outboard gpu (r7 integrated Graphics).

Pc Specs:

CPU: A8 7600
RAM: 16gb DDR3
MOBO: unknown (Haven't looked at it yet, a friend picked up the pc for me while im out of town)
PSU: 650 watt
HDD: 1TB
GRAPHICS: Integrated r7
OS: Windows 10

I spent $180 on the pc and Have around $120 for a gpu.

Out of the 4 I listed, which one would you go with and why? If you have another option that would work better, please let me know. Thank you for the help

Note: If this is listed in the wrong section, please let me know and I will move it, thanks again.

Why are those the gpu options you are deciding between? The 760ti was just an OEM card so it seems odd to be included at all.

I was just going off of prices vs. performance off of newegg and gpuboss. Price is the only reason those cards are included in my selection.

I have seen the Powercolor rx460 for 60AR (20) on newegg.com which is a pretty good deal. I suppose the question is if you need HDMI 2 and the ability for 4k60? You can also maybe score a RX 470 around 140-150 AR on newegg which is about double the rx 460 in performance. Maybe not worth escaping your budget though. I will say that I am actually quite surprised on how well the rx460 does at 1080p on the titles I have tried.

From a performance perspective I would say 750Ti > RX460 > R7 370 ( if you can unlock the shaders on the rx 460 to 1024 about the same) / gtx 950 > 760ti = 960 GTX / 1050 GTX > rx 470 / 1060 3bg

If you have a microcenter around they have a 2gb 950 gtx for around 80 AR too.

I really do not want to go past my budget. I did find a used GTX 950 Windforce OC 2gb for $70 used on craigslist.

Unfortunately, no micro-centers near me.

I found a 750Ti for $50 on letgo app. goes for $100 on amazon ha. what resolution will you be running at?

HD7950 or R9-280 (used) would be a nice card as I play WoT at 4K med settings on one of those.. but if it was me I would buy a RX 470 or RX480 8Gb and use that as to build a new platform around it as you may only be talking $500 if you bought the parts on sale.

It seems like with my budget that I am looking at, the 750ti or the 460 2gb are my best options, unless I find something used for cheap.

I really do appreciate the help from everyone!

Go with a 1050ti before you buy a 750ti.

https://jet.com/product/GIGABYTE-Ge...DDR5-PCI-Exp/eda537024339464fad47eeb29e8a9f5f

is $128.35 after first customer 15% discount. :)

Or the RX 460 for $90 after discount

Here is a comparison video

Just FYI, Ive ordered many computer components from Jet, they've all arrived ok. And their customer service is fantastic if you have a problem.

I think you just convinced me to buy the R 460 4gb version from Jet.

But my next question about that card is, will it fit??? hahah

The guy I bought it from said he personally fit a R7 370 in it, but he never told me if it was a mini or normal sized GPU.

His was 8.43 inches long, and he said it was extremely tight.

That Nitro 460 is 8.7 long, it will not fit :(

It appears the Gigabyte 460 4GD is only 7.5" long, so that will fit and it cost $12 more.

Well, you could take a dremel and modify your case ( I would) The Sapphire Nitro's & the XFX I hear are the best of the RX series. In any case. Glad you could make a decision & meet your budget. Also check to make sure that your PCI Express slot is PCI Express 3.0.

The only thing I am concerned is is appear the card would hit the ram slots.

Yes it is pcie 3.0

And I did it!

Fit my budget by $5.

I just purchased a used Sapphire R9 270 OC for $65.

Total Spent on complete build: $245.

Sweet if memory serves me correctly you can even do hybrid crossfire with that and your apu.

I'm not for sure you can. At least according to this Post:

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1976320/kaveri-gpu-crossfire.html

Since I have R7 integrated graphics on the A8 7600 APU it only makes sense that the R9 card couldn't not be ran in crossfire. Or is that not correct?

I believe the performance disparity between the two would be big enough that putting them in crossfire would actually slow things down, so I'm not sure it matters ;). R9 270 is a solid card though!

I'm not worried about running crossfire. I think the 270 will handle what I'm throwing at it just fine!

It may not fit in the Lenovo h50 case. May have to buy another.

Spending an extra $40 can make a huge diff, 470 vs 460, maybe eat ramen for a few weeks and shovel snow old ladies driveways off. Gpus are the best performance/$ you can spend for gaming

I have already purchased and made my decision.
