Hi guys, I'm a huge noob when it comes to networking.
My HTPC is using onboard wired network on an Intel D865perl motherboard. My bedroom computer is using wireless G- both are connected to a Belkin PRE-N router. I transfer my downloaded data from my bedroom to the HTPC downstairs.
Would I get faster transfer/streaming speeds by adding a PRO gigabit 1000 network card?
Would I automatically get faster speeds if I install it, since I read that the gigabit requires a bit of configuration.
Thanks guys!
