Quick easy vista question

I installed vista using a dell dvd. which means it slaps dell everywhere. easy to remove by just finding the folder with the pictures and deleting all of them. Now that that is done i open computer properties and see that it says dell is the computer manufacturer. where can i edit this??

For minor stuff needed you can use TweakVI. The demo has enough features to be useful in most cases but im still waiting for a better solution to come around. Till then might as well give it a try and see if it helps you any.

So you installed a Dell OEM copy of a non-Dell computer? Interesting... very interesting... questionable, but more interesting than anything else.

Anyway, it's called "OEM Branding" and here's how you can modify it:

thanks guys but for whatever reason the method of doing this in xp does not work in vista. actualy had to pull out a regedit for this one. http://www.techtalkz.com/member-gui...zed-strings-system-properties-dialog-box.html

and in response to bbz_ghost i did this because my dad bought a dell laptop as soon as vista had its final public release and i wanted vista so i used his 32-bit dell oem disk and just delete the oem dell pictures. but now theres no sign of dell on my lappy!
