Im building a stock rig for a friend of mine and need to know if i need to use ddr2 800 or 1066..what is stock speed?

depends on the RAM you order....there is no "stock" speed for RAM on a CPU for AMD(to my knowledge), if you can get 1066, get it, 800 if you cant, you wont see much of a difference

the native speed for the DDR2 IMC is 1066.. the native speed for the DDR3 IMC is 1333..

so on that note.. any DDR2 ram at 1066 or slower will work with the regor cores.. with the DDR3 even though the cpu only supports up to ddr3 1333 most motherboards can modify it to support up to ddr3 1600..

all comes down to what motherboard your friend buys.. an am3/am2+/am2 which is ddr2 or an AM3 board which is ddr3..
