question on how to erase IDE ata flash memory

I just want to know how I would be able to erase IDE ata flash memory module that is on an 44pin setup?

Get a 44 pin to 40 pin adapter and plug it into an IDE port somewhere? They're fairly common and you'll have a power lead going into that as well.
