When I did auto detect it told me 395 / 1004

So far it has been running stable, do you think it is safe to keep pushing it? Am I risking and taking a chance of frying the card? Or will it give me warnings like artifcats before it frys?

I am not an overclocker expert by any means, and dont have any special cooling system.

it should give you artifacts before it would do anything that bad. Usually when you overclock it too far it will give artifacts or crash games or freeze. I would just take it slow and watch the temps :)

Honestly I think "frying" your vidcard will happen over a period of time when oc'ing, you are more likely to get image corruption or a lockup before anything permanent happens. as always YMMV when oc'ing. ;)

edit- beaten by 1 minute

And BFG _does_ have a lifetime warranty. If they didn't want you to overclock it they wouldn't call it an "OC" :)

Seriously, though, you'll see artifacts before any real short-term damage is done.
