Question about [H] referrals

From time to time there are links in the Hot Deals section going to a particluar product on newegg.com. I know that they advertise here, and I am guessing there is some sort of payment made if one gets to newegg by clicking the banner on top of each page, or if they ultimately buy something through this link.

My question is, is there anyway to set this up so that when we click a link to a Hot Deal newegg product it gives referral props to the [H]?

For instance...
If you click the top banner it goes to.
http://www.newegg.com/promo/daisies/index.asp?CMP=BAC-hardcop

If you click the 15 fan deal from Hot Deals it goes to.
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=35-150-007&depa=0

What would one have to do to link the deal to the [H], other than tell people to click top banner and search?

Just looking out for the [H]ard.

(p.s. why does it say hardcop instead of hardocp?
 
If you use the click through banner at the top, it gives The Egg a good idea of the amount of traffic that we send their way from their advertisement. The forums do not receive payment through the clicks, only from advertising revenue directly from the Egg. :cool:

....as to the Hardcop, I have no clue. A google search turns up Shacknews :p

that would be kinda cool. like how fatwallet does it... whenever someone types the name of an advertiser, the forum parses the name to include the referral url - therefore if someone orders something from that advertiser, the forum gets referral money, no harm done. However, that would be pretty annoying forum-wide, and thats something that I doubt can be done on a per-subforum base.
 
It's working in Firefox but not in IE for me. :(
