I am looking to get a LG 27GL850 and looking at the compatibility list I see that it does 48-144Hz. Lets say I am running a game and am getting below 48fps..lets say 35fps. The variable refresh rate doesn't go that low, but it could do 2xfps as the refresh to get the same effect (70hz). Right? My question is, is gsync/monitor smart enough to do that?

As far as I know when approved by nvidia it means they have some form of functional LFC so yes it should do 2x or 3x the fps and keep working just fine even below 48hz. I gotta run now so no time to look it up but I'm pretty sure.
