Question about Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 & CMZ12GX3M3A1600C9

Hi guys,

after a few years I'm having memory issues with my PC and I am looking for replacement memory but I am a bit budget constrained at the moment.

A local store has both triple & quad channel Corsair kits with following part numbers:
CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 for the 4 * 4 GB
CMZ12GX3M3A1600C9 for the 3 * 4 GB

My question is, do these kits use the same DIMMS?

Normally I wouldn't ask this as my old i7 is a triple channel system but the quad channel kit is actually cheaper so if they use the same sticks then well, saving cash and getting a spare sure is tempting

edit: they have the low profile CML16GX3M4A1600C9 at the same price as the other 16GB kit, would those perform just as well?

Decided to go with the low profile 16GB kit & keeping one DIMM as a spare.
Apparantly this retailer had a pricing fluke where the older 12GB kits remained more expensive than the newer 16GB kits.
