Quake 4 DVD not loading problem!

For some reason my Quake 4 DVD is NOT working on my desktop PC but will work on my laptop. Most of my system specs are in my sig.

My desktop has a DVD drive, it's a TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552B. It looks like a generic Samsung.

Ideas? Anyone else having this problem? All help much appreciated.
 
Forgot to mention that I have tried my BF2 DVD in the same drive, it will load fine.
 
q4 seems like it's having problems w/ some drives. People w/ both the cd and dvd versions have been complaining. Not really sure how id/raven can fix it. If your laptop (or someone you know) can burn dvds, you could make a copy of the q4 dvd. Maybe that would work? :)
 
Maybe I will have to copy it, although this is a bunch of shit. It works fine on my brother's PC, he has the same model of DVD drive, but his is Samsung. Both of our drives show up as TSST blah in device manager, and look identical except the bezels.
