Dell XPS 13 (3200x1800 native)
Qnix 320QHD (2560x1440 native)
StarTech 4K DisplayPort dock USB3DOCKHDPC
According to the docking station page it does:
I am using a DisplayPort cable. Windows 8.1, is set to duplicate displays.
The laptop is lid is open:
When connecting to the dock the monitor defaults to 2048x1152. Via the Intel HD Graphics Control panel the 2048x1152 resolution is available, as is 3200x1800. If selecting 3200x1800 then the monitor defaults to 1920x1440.
In Windows 8.1 the power options are set to "do nothing" when closing the lid while the laptop is powered on.
The laptop lid is open but then I close it, this is the outcome:
The monitor is at 2048x1152 when the lid is open. Once the lid is closed the monitor appears to briefly show 2560x1440 before the monitor enters power save mode and turns off.
Not sure what to make of this. I don't understand why 2560x1440 isn't even on the list of options.
