Anyone else getting the same results? After installing the new SisoftSandra 2009 my CPU Arithmetic Dhrystone ALU MIPS score has fallen a lot.

Before installing SisoftSandra 2009 I was using SisoftSandra 2008 v.12.34. My CPU Arithmetic Dhrystone ALU MIPS score was 45085mips(Sisoft Q6600 avg 43371mips).

After installing SisoftSandra 2009 my score has now dropped to 41658mips(Sisoft Q6600avg 43589mips). Using Sandra 2008 my score was well above the average.

After installing Sandra 2009 my cpu is well below average and subpar. Anyone else get the same results with the new Sandra 2009?

Sandra sucks anyway. Plus i wouldn't worry about those points anyway they will not make any difference. Try everest as it is way better then sandra can ever be.

Good Day

Sorry, but I disagree. Sisoft Sandra up untill this point has been excellent as an info/benchmark utility. As a testement to this just look at the many sites that use it daily in their reviews.

As far as the points, they may not make any difference except for someone who likes to tweak their system to even higher levels of performance. The purpose of the points within benchmarking utilities is to establish a baseline from which to judge the current state of performance and the effects of the art and joy of tweaking your hotrod to the nnnth degree :)

As for Everest, another execellent info/benchmarking tool that I highly recommend and use daily.

Thanks for your reply just the same.

Having said that is there anyone who is running an Q6600 and seeing significantly lower arithmetic scores in Sisoft Sandra 2009. Would be interested to know whether this is a symptom of my setup or a bug in the software across the board.

Thanks all :)

could it possibly that they changed the test?
(I dont know, but it seems reasonable. Thus the reason you dont benchmark between versions)
