SEGA has released Puyo Puyo Champions onto Steam for $9.99. There is no story mode this time but you can play against the CPU or live players. SEGA of America is livestreaming game play.

I played some rounds last night. It's pretty much the same game as Puyo Puyo Tetris without the Tetris or story mode. You can do Puyo Puyo 2 rules or Fever rules. It's exactly what competitive Puyo players have always wanted.
