Purchase BF3 from Origin and get Dead Space 2 for free.

I pre-ordered BF 3 yesterday, How can I get my free copy of Dead Space 2?

Im not planning on getting BF3, however I will relieve someone of their DS2 key if they dont need it :)

If they don't credit dead space 2, i will just cancel my pre-order and re-order it. that should work right?

they'll even do it for you on live chat.

its a hit and miss depending on the person you get. but, if they don't credit you the game have them cancel your order and replace it on the site.

I ordered it 2 days ago and they just credited through live chat.

If you already preordered BF3, but haven't taken advantage of one of the free game offers, then just contact their support and they will gladly just give you a copy of the game. I contacted the support when they had mass effect (had gotten BF3 preorder as a gift for my birthday), and they just verified some info and added the game to my account, Mass Effect 2 in this case.

BF3 is not coming to steam, and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Dead Space 2 probably won't activate either.

pre-ordered 3 days ago and tried to get EA live-chat to credit my account with a free copy of DS2. only way for them to do it (at least with the rep i was working with) is to cancel my original order and re-order. i'm working with them now to cancel my original order. a pain in the ass, but a free game is a free game.

If you want to send even more of your American dollars to other countries.... buy from those 3rd world cdkey sites, yeahhhhh! All so you can save a few measly dollars temporarily.

it's might be legit working key for now... but who knows if its ACTUALLY entirely legit? How do you think these guys are offering software at hugely discounted price compared to all other places? Stolen? hacked keys? Who truly knows.

In the end, its not American based, so they won't earn an easy dollar from my ass. I suggest you do the same, but if you lack the slight moral judgement I'm talking here, go on ahead and buy those "cheap wares" --- and don't cry here or anywhere else when it doesn't go your way, because nobody will care about your 3rd party purchase.

Just remember these 2 things:
1) if its too good to be true, it usually is
2) none (I repeat, none) of these, obviously overseas, 'cdkey' websites show any business location, or phone number in their contact page. Fishy? an educated guess would be, YES

I wouldn't be too worried about it. If they screw you, dispute it on your credit card. If they don't, cheap game!

But its a mega pain in the ass to do that (have done so for other charges) and you may have to cancel/reissue your card to get them to dispute it.

I'd rather pay for a key I know will work day 1 personally.

Why would you have to cancel your credit card to dispute a charge? It's your right by federal law, not company policy.

I got tons of games sitting in my Steam account from places like this. Never had any issues, and guess what I'm not paying $59.99 for every new game that comes out just because its the "patriotic" thing to do LOL.

Lmao, oh crap jokes on me I just realized you were trolling. Wait you were right?

EA really wants us all to buy BF3 from Origin. Gotta give them props for making it as attractive as possible, I suppose.

If you are in North America and don't have to deal with territorial price mark-ups and you aren't a "Steam or nothing" gamer, Origin is probably the best way to go.

I might just have to cancel my in-store pre-order and pick up one of these deals... I'm like the last person to still pre-order instore just to help out a buddy who works at gamestop...

YEAH they are doing everything but lowering the price.

I for one am waiting for a lower price to buy this game

This is one of the scared trolls that I was talking about.

I have keys from sites such as CJs and they work fine. Same goes with my buddies.

These are NOT keygens, they are REAL keys that the publishers have already received their royalties on.

I only buy steamwork keys. In order to be a steamwork title Valve takes a percentage off the sale of the game. No way they would be offering this service for free.

Steamworks is offered for free. But at the same time it serves as a marketing and brand building tool. Wholesale bandwidth costs is really cheap though.

It depends, Origin has to charge sale tax in more areas compared to most DDs. Some regions in North America have sales tax over 10% if not more (for me personally Origin charges 12%).

Right, ends up in the median of $65...sorry, but I have never bought a game at this price tag...since, well the original Xbox..At the same time I also don't pirate; I've got close to 200 games in Steam, and maybe 3 in origin..I really don't want to start splitting up my games; I can also wait since there are a lot of games I bought on a whim due to super cheap deals or other gaming friends gift me...

I had already ordered mine but I talked to someone on live chat and the added the key to my account. Thanks for the heads up.

OP, how did you find this deal? When I go to origin directly and find BF3 it doesn't mention the DS2 bundle deal at all.

OH and thanks for the tip! I just preordered. :D

Sorry for not getting to this sooner everyone but you can take 25% off ($15 bucks) if you receive the happy Bday promo code (My bday happens to be this month) Just purchased this and received all the freebies (deadspace2 and the dlc).

I'm not a fan of EA butchering major game brands and IP... but for this discount I'm going to try out BF3 and origin... But I will support Steam until they pry my backlog from my cold dead fingers!

I did my preorder on Origin last week, and spoke with a CSR today. The rep I dealt with had no issue granting me the free game without having to cancel my previous preorder and start over...Steam who?

Too much money through EA and they charge tax. Picked mine up through Newegg for $50.00.
