Just passing this along....I hadn't heard about this until today (I've seen some stuff about FIFA 12 but since I don't own it, I didn't pay any attention).
Quite a few Live accounts have recently been hacked, stolen, and then the hackers are using credit cards linked to the Live account to buy points and Live memberships, then making new accounts, transferring the points, and selling them. Sounds like Live support has been less than helpful in trying to get the accounts frozen (after the actual owner reports the account as being hacked/stolen).

If you guys have credit cards tied into your Live account, you might want to remove them. You can do this by going to the Live site, go to:

https://live.xbox.com/en-US/ManagePaymentOptions
or just sign in and go to
Live > My Account > Manage Payment Options
it will list your CC's on file, you can remove them. If a CC is tied into your Gold membership, it won't let you remove it....that will probably take a phone call.
In my case, I do have one tied to my Gold (even though the last 2 years I've used prepaid cards), but the CC is expired. It still won't let me remove it. I'm not worried about it since it's expired, but if yours isn't...definitely give them a call.
