That look like false bid to troll scalper like they did on video cards ? (With sometime the original sellers making an even bigger bid on a other fake account on their own item to make the process of reselling it faster)You have to be kidding me. There are some seriously impatient fools out there with money to burn.
The image was sold listings, but could be from fake accounts / non-payers.Yeah a bid is not a confirmed sale.

Speaking at the recent Jefferies Interactive Entertainment Virtual Conference, Xbox CFO Tim Stuart expressed his belief that supply shortages of Microsoft’s next-gen consoles could continue until April 2021.

Just in time for income taxes. Microsoft and other companies know what they're doing.
Microsoft and Sony should just accept they can't meet initial demand and charge an extra couple hundred bucks, then at least the money can partially go back into the ecosystem."While Ebay's unsold listings show people still asking up to $10,000 for the new consoles, the sold listings show most people aren't willing to pay too much more than $1000 for the resold consoles. The fact that people are paying scalpers' inflated prices shows how much demand there is for the next-gen consoles.
It appears Amazon isn't currently allowing third-party sellers to list PS5s for sale, likely to cut down on the kind of price-gouging that's taking place on Ebay. If you want to try your hand at getting a next-gen console without paying an inflated price for it, check out our PS5 buying guide or Xbox Series X and S guide."

That's not how Capitalism works.Microsoft and Sony should just accept they can't meet initial demand and charge an extra couple hundred bucks, then at least the money can partially go back into the ecosystem.
Struggling with supply issues? You think they can just magically create consoles out of thin air to meet demand caused by the clusterfuck of 2020? The sheer fact that both companies managed to launch new consoles this year is something of a miracle on it's own. We don't need stupid conspiracy theories to explain supply issues.
The internet would destroy then over it. You see how fussy both of the were about releasing the price to begin with?Microsoft and Sony should just accept they can't meet initial demand and charge an extra couple hundred bucks, then at least the money can partially go back into the ecosystem.
Same here.. that was one of the worse new consoles in recent years, in regards to attempting to get ahold of oneI feel like it was almost a year until you could just walk in and buy one, at least around me.
Honestly I’m surprised they hadn’t locked it down already. Amazon briefly had their marketplace set up in a way that was friendly to hobbyists, just individuals selling their own books and such. I used to list old PC hardware there along with eBay, etc.Wait, so a company can ask Amazon not to allow 3rd party sales and they will do it....
I guess my point is that Amazon is blocking third party listings for playstations but are allowing this https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=Honestly I’m surprised they hadn’t locked it down already. Amazon briefly had their marketplace set up in a way that was friendly to hobbyists, just individuals selling their own books and such. I used to list old PC hardware there along with eBay, etc.
But they started locking it down heavily because of fraud. There wasn’t any vetting of product listings, just like on eBay, but the difference was that you could search for say, a core i7-4770 on Amazon and get a marketplace seller’s listing because it was cheaper than Amazon’s new price. Whereas eBay doesn’t sell stuff directly. But then there was no warranty from most marketplace sellers (there still isn’t), and it also didn’t prevent people from burying listing by creating things that would key in search terms and actually wind up in front of the official part listings.
so they started requiring anyone selling a product of certain brands (like “Intel”) to provide proof of purchase or a reseller authorization letter before they could list “Intel” products - no matter what it was.
Look up Xeon processors on Amazon, for instance, and you’ll see “Xeon blah blah” but the brand name on the product is HP or Dell or some random company name - sellers are of course trying to get around those restrictions by just making up brand names and leaving out the words that would make Amazon block the listing (like “Intel”).
anyways, where I’m going with this is, I’m surprised they weren’t already doing it for Sony or Microsoft products, too. Or if they were and I’m just misunderstanding that they have blocked all third party listings for it, that’s... worrying, I think. Scalpers are assholes, but Amazon’s marketplace was supposed to be open, even to them. Unless that has changed?
Who says Nv can't?I guess my point is that Amazon is blocking third party listings for playstations but are allowing this https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-Graphics-Tracing-DisplayPort/dp/B08NC8YP6M/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=2YE6OVIK63Z5L&dchild=1&keywords=3080+graphics+card&qid=1605627037&sprefix=3080,aps,391&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExRlhRRlRSVlBRNkdVJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjEwODIyMTJCRTVCNlQ3VzZQTSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMDY4ODk0MzY1QVFLMkVQMzdJVyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
Why cant NVIDIA ask for these sales to be blocked?
Derangel fully aware of what FOMO is, and it does affect intelligence, because FOMO causes people to think irrationally and be stupidLook up FOMO and how it effects people. It has nothing to do with intelligence or anything like that, simply human nature and something we can’t change. The people buying are still at fault, of course, but it’s not as simple as them being stupid. Or, rather, all of us are “stupid” in some way and fall for this kind of thing from time to time.
I’m glad I have a real job. Time equals money for me. Not to mention the effort. But for someone who’s time is worth it to them to scalp, congrats.
No risk no reward I guess. Good on you. I wouldn't risk it though. People get shot or robbed over these types of fomo items. I remember seeing horror stories of people getting mugged in parking lots when the PS2 launched.I seriously spent 30-60 minutes ordering them. And another 5 minutes listing on craigslist and people met me at my work to pick them up.
90 mins max of "work". $1500/1.5, you must have a pretty damn good job to be making $1000/hr after taxes. Let me know where I can sign up.
Your username says enough lol. Sorry for not taking your time table seriously. If it were that easy you’d have a lot more get rich people in the world.I seriously spent 30-60 minutes ordering them. And another 5 minutes listing on craigslist and people met me at my work to pick them up.

“After taxes”, didn’t realize scalping was tax free income nowI seriously spent 30-60 minutes ordering them. And another 5 minutes listing on craigslist and people met me at my work to pick them up.

Don't hate the player, hate the game
I hate the game and the players for knowingly participating in that dirty game called "scalping".
If people pay the scalpers premium markup they are also fueling the fire so to speak.
I will not pay more then the MSRP and also not buy a new item from an unauthorized seller used yes (to the unauthorized seller part not the MSRP part) as their is probably no warranty left anyway on a used item.
Supply and demand. If there weren't people dumb and desperate enough to pay scalpers' inflated prices, there'd be no scalpers. I don't fault the scalpers for making a buck where they see one to be made.
Agreed.Everyone is at fault. Scalpers are at fault for buying things for the sole purpose of selling at inflated prices and depriving customers of a limited product. The people buying are at fault for paying those stupid prices.
Congrats on the exploitation of capitalism, a fool and their money are soon parted. And I mean that in a good way.I'm up $1500 from the 5 xbox consoles i sold last week. Usually make $1000-2000 every console launch
You are a loser that work is no work you are just a low life scammer.
Yep expect the scammer moron part.
Loser? For being smart and making a few bucks with no work. Only an idiot would pass up fast and easy cash. I saw an opportunity and took it.
I think you need to look up the definition of scammer. I didn't scam anyone. I had something for sale and another person willingly bought it fully knowing what they were getting. There was no scam.
