PS3 Scrolling Shooter

I'm a big fan of scrolling shooter games like 1942, Gradius, Space Harrier, etc. However, there hasn't seem to have been made any recently. Are there any indie games that I don't know of on the PS3? The closest thing I found was Stardust, which I bought. It's pretty fun, but I need moar! I would have thought games like these would be super easy to pump out.

There's actually a PSN bundle with Part 1 and 2 for $17.99 now. Its a really good side scroller and yes, there aren't many side scrollers as companies don't feel they sell or do good ;(

The Gundemonium Collection (recollection, gundeadligne, and hitogata happa) is 3 games, for $14.99.

Thanks, I bought the bundle. I started dl'ing it and played some other games. Checked back 30mins later. 15mb done wtf. I guess background dl'ing doesn't work with a game playing? :eek:
I guess not going to play it today.
 
Soldner X is a pretty weak shooter compared to others in the genre. Nowhere near the level of Gradius V or Ikaruga.

Haven't played the sequel, so hopefully that one is (substantially) better.

This is true, but at the same time they also are not available on either the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. Hell, even the Wii has a better catalog of shooters thanks to the Virtual Console.

X2 is tons better than X1 and they even made it easier for the people who cried X1 was to hard. Wasn't to bad for me, but at the same time I love bullet hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Wow X1 level 2 even on easy for me was hard. I had to set it on very easy just to get to the boss.
 
X1 is way harder than X2. X2 is dumbed down to make it more casual friendly.
 
R-Types is on PSN. It's dated, but still one of the best shmups if you enjoy not winning. I kid.. its fun but soo damn hard.

EDIT: Also, Bullet Hell Gundemonium is apparently coming out on PSN June 15th.
