So I have a Sony DH810 receiver and it's remote looks damn near identical to the PS3 Remote. Yes, I know it work because the PS3 has no IR sensor (the bastards). What I want to know is if there's a cheap way to be able to use my remote to function as a PS3 remote. If the cheap BluWave remote can do it, surely there's a way to get this thing to work.

take a look at logitech harmony PS3 adapter. I don't know if this will work with your remote, but if the harmony remote uses IR to turn on say your Sony DH810, it might work with your remote.

PS# Blu Ray remote is a blue tooth decvice, but the PS3 slims will work wit hthe remotes from Sony Bravia devices.. THe Blu Ray remotr duplicates most of the functionality of the game controllers as well, you can use the game controller to control the Blu Ray just fine.

I love the PS3's blu-ray bluetooth remote... it's nice not having to point a remote at the device from different angles to get it to do something. lol
