I wonder if WUs will still be available to those who don't upgrade their console to 4.30. But either way, that's 500k ppd less the Default team will have (good for Team 33 who want to overtake default, bad for any kind of research that is still left for that platform).

edit: I wonder how many people on Team 33 were folding on their PS3...

I don't think they would be ending the program if they still had work for it.

VJ said himself that PS# has gotten "long in the tooth".

I still have my PS3 folding, 24/7. I check it every so often to make sure its still running.

Didn't they kill off PPC support too? http://folding.typepad.com/news/2010/01/update-on-power-pc-osx-support.html Sounds like they were still having work left to do though... sounds like they just ported it or something.

Had mine running for the past couple months. Too bad that it is ending. Hopefully Sony and Stanford will collaborate again for the next console Sony releases.

It could be that they are winding down PS3 folding in order to focus on PS4 folding. It could take them several months to get a client working as well as they want, so it would make sense to make the transition now.
