PS3 40GB 3.55 firmware

no one needs a ps3 that can run homebrew? Makes the best home media machine ever as well :)
 
I had the same model of PS3 go YLOD on me about a month ago and I was easily able to reflow it. I bought another PS3 just in case because like you said it's an awesome media streamer. Wife and I couldn't live without it.

thanks for the bump and the whole reason I bought a new slim is because the wife loves it so much for media streaming, netflix, blu-ray/dvd, etc. she wanted one in the bedroom as well :D

160GB hdd in it now people...brand new as well!
